It was pretty good and grows on you. I think it's the best I've found over here so far. I'll have to find an excuse to try the others you've suggested though.

Actually, Tom Conrad suggested Anchor Steam and the waitress was good enough to recognize my request for “Anchor Stein” (all beer has a german sounding name right?) when I asked for it. Also recommended is Magic Hat No. 5. Sierra Nevada IPA is just fine; and even Sam Adams's Boston Lager (it's not lager) is good when all else fails.
Avoid anything that is lager, it'll be rubbish. But there's plenty of lovely US beer.

Anchor Steam Beer is gorgeous. And brewed in SF, too. As for the image over HTTPS, that was a bug in the secure admin plugin I've hacked - it can be a little overzealous at making things go over HTTPS sometimes. I've fixed it up so it only runs over HTTP now.

Yeah the micro breweries are ok, but still not fantastic. try the local micro breweries, and if all else fails.. the european bears (Guinness) taste much better than the US ones.

re: the beer.

try the local micro breweries, and if all else fails.. the european bears (Guinness) taste much better than the US ones.

By: Robert Scoble

<guid
