.. while not realizing that the reason I posted that was to gather feedback. We ended up deciding on Markdown, ironically using the same exact control that he's using on his blog:

I believe Alastair's problem with my recent posts were that he vehemently disagreed with many of them, perhaps as a result of the "smackdown" learning model.
